Terrence Patrick Clothing is the collaboration of Patrick Huff and David Kushner. To make a ridiculously long story short it was their obsession with music that brought them together. Pat had been in a band with Dave's twin brother, Paul, while attending Penn State. After Pat and Paul graduated they remained friends and through hanging out together Pat met Dave. At the time Dave was running a friends tele-marketing business from their home in his underwear..literally. Pat was in the restaurant business and was quickly growing tired of the no-weekends work schedule. Through many pints of beer, shots of whiskey and very late nights Pat began to tell Dave about these ideas that he had for a clothing line that was going to (eventually) lead them out of the 9 to 5 monotony of everyday life. Dave, also an aspiring screen writer and all-around creative guy, was hooked. Between the two of them they figured out that they had enough ideas and just barely enough money to get their baby off the ground.
So, after Pat took out all of the money that he had saved for a down payment on a house and Dave snatched a nice chunk out of his savings, Terrence Patrick Clothing was off the ground. Our official start date, as which we mark as the day we became Incorporated, was April 18th, 2007. Since then it has been an uphill battle, slowed by the struggles of trying to maintain our 9 to 5's, becoming unemployed for periods of time, the recession and all of the other obstacles life likes to throw at you...but we're finally here and we couldn't be happier.
